About Dr. S.M. Ahamed (Abed)

Dr. S M Ahamed Abed is a rheumatologist working currently in Barishal. He completed MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital in 2011. He then got trained one year at the Medicine department in Dhaka Medical College Hospital. To serve the rural community, he joined as medical officer at Upazila Health Complex, Matlab Uttar, Chandpur under 33rd BCS (Health) in 2014. After that, he completed a 5 year MD degree in Rheumatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (Ex. PG Hospital) in 2022. Currently he is working as Registrar in the department of Rheumatology, Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital, Barishal. He is providing rheumatic care (joint pain, joint swelling, back pain, muscle pain, muscle cramp, muscle weakness etc.) from 4pm to 10pm (except Thursday and Friday) at Popular Diagnostic and Consultation Centre, Bangla bazar, Barishal.
